    Current general registration as a Registered Nurse

    You must hold current general registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia, with no conditions on your registration relating to unprofessional conduct or performance.

    • Your registration details
    • Renewal each year by 31 May

    5,000 hours of advanced practice

    The equivalent of three years' full-time experience (5,000 hours) at the clinical advanced practice level, within the past six years, counted back from the date the NMBA receives your complete application. Hours completed as part of your NP program cannot be counted. The evidence for this requirement is where most of the portfolio lives: statements of service, a CV that mirrors them, and proof the practice was at an advanced level.

    • Minimum 5,000 hours (≈3 years FTE) of clinically based advanced practice
    • Hours must fall within the past six years, counted back from the date the NMBA receives your complete application
    • Hours completed as part of NP program CANNOT be counted

    Pathway 1 or Pathway 2 completion

    Either completion of an NMBA-approved Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) program — Pathway 1 — or a program the NMBA assesses as substantially equivalent — Pathway 2. EndorseMe supports both, with clearly separated workspaces.

    Pathway 1 — NMBA-approved NP Master's

    What AHPRA Asks For

    • Certified copy or verifiable digital evidence of NMBA-approved NP Master's degree
    • Full academic transcript including results key

    You Provide

    Compliance with the NP Standards for Practice

    Your evidence must demonstrate the four NMBA Nurse Practitioner Standards for Practice (2021) and their twelve practice statements. This is what the whole portfolio is read against.
